World Emoji Day 2024 : All you need to know today

Emoji !! This word is enough to bring a smile on your face, Isn’t It? Pictures and Symbols have always been part of human language, which speaks much more than the words ever could. Insignificant of where you live or whatever the regional language you speak it creates a universal language in itself.  World celebrates Emoji Day on the 17th of July every year.

Emoji Vs emoticon: Any difference?

While emoticons have a long history to go as it was incorporated around 35,000 years ago in Europe by earliest ancestors to share knowledge by virtue of symbols painted on the walls of caves. Emoticons are representing your emotions by forming a pictorial icon by the use of letters, punctuation marks and numbers.

Now, in the digital era, these symbols are converted into form widely popular as “EMOJI” used globally all over the internet on approximately all social media platforms.  We use emoji for WhatsApp, eΩΩmoji for Facebook, emoji for Instagram, emoji for Twitter, and where not.

17th July was the date chosen as per the Jeremy Burge, known as the founder of Emojipedia (created in 2014).

These emojis are used by everyone on a daily basis in such a large number that the world emoji day was made public as an unofficial holiday, now been celebrated by people across the globe. Emoji and their meaning in our lives have changed a lot since they came into existence.
